Sintered zirconia corundum bricks have high strength and strong resistance to molten glass erosion. In addition, due to the presence of partially stable tetragonal ZrO2, microcracks are formed in the bricks. With a small amount of porosity, its thermal shock resistance is superior to AZS fused cast bricks.
